Age & Education
Age Limit (as on 02-03-2026)
- Junior Stenographer: 27 Years
- Junior Secretariat Assistant: 28 Years
- Multi-Tasking Staff: 25 Years
Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and other specified categories as per Government of India rules.
Educational Qualification
- Junior Stenographer: 10+2 or equivalent with proficiency in Stenography as per DoPT norms.
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (General/S&P): 10+2 or equivalent with proficiency in Computer Typing Speed and computer use as per DoPT norms.
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (F&A): 10+2 or equivalent with Accountancy as a subject and proficiency in Computer Typing Speed and computer use.
- Multi-Tasking Staff: Matriculation or equivalent pass (Intermediate pass desirable).
Salary Details
- Junior Stenographer: Level-04, Pay Scale ₹25,500 – ₹81,100, Total Emoluments approx. ₹53,628/-
- Junior Secretariat Assistant (G/S&P/F&A): Level-02, Pay Scale ₹19,900 – ₹63,200, Total Emoluments approx. ₹39,545/- (₹36,844/- for Kanpur location for JSA-G)
- Multi-Tasking Staff: Level-01, Pay Scale ₹18,000 – ₹56,900, Total Emoluments approx. ₹35,973/-
Application Fee
- Women / SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen Candidates: EXEMPTED
- All Other Candidates: ₹ 500/-

Salary Details
Scientist: Level 11, Basic Pay ₹67,700, Total Emoluments approx. ₹1,26,900/month
Senior Scientist: Level 12, Basic Pay ₹78,800, Total Emoluments approx. ₹1,46,770/month
