Vacancy Details
BEL is inviting applications for 01 Trainee Officer (Library) – I post. This is a contractual position based in Bengaluru. The role involves library management and information systems work.
Age and Education Qualification
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s (BLIS) or Master’s (MLIS) degree in Library and Information Science from a UGC-recognized institution with a passing grade.
Experience: A minimum of six months of post-qualification experience in library procedures, database management, cataloging, and electronic resource maintenance is mandatory.
Age Limit: The maximum age is 28 years as of 01-02-2026. Age relaxation is applicable for PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates as per government norms.
Salary Details
The selected candidate will be appointed on a contract basis for an initial period of two years, extendable by one more year. The monthly consolidated salary is structured as follows:

- First Year: ₹30,000 per month
- Second Year: ₹35,000 per month
- Third Year (if extended): ₹40,000 per month
Additionally, an annual allowance of ₹12,000 will be provided for medical insurance, attire, and other expenses, paid in two installments.
Application Fees
The application fee is ₹177 (₹150 + 18% GST). Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen categories are fully exempt from paying this fee.

3. Pay the application fee (if applicable)
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: No fee
- Others: ₹177 through SBI Collect
- Keep the payment receipt and reference number
4. Fill the form carefully
- Enter all details exactly as per your certificates
- Mention the SBI reference number
- Check everything before final submission
5. Attach self-attested photocopies of these documents
This part is very important. Attach clear self-attested copies of:
- Recent passport-size photo
- 10th certificate (for date of birth proof)
- All semester mark sheets of BLIS/MLIS
- Final or provisional degree certificate (with class and percentage)
- Post-qualification experience certificate
- Caste/EWS/PwBD certificate (if applicable)
- Disability certificate (if applicable)
- SBI payment receipt
- ID proof (Aadhaar / DL / Voter ID etc.)
- Any other relevant certificates
If your degree does not clearly mention the required specialization, attach a separate certificate from your university confirming it.

BEL Navi Mumbai offers 72 apprenticeship positions across three categories: Graduate, Diploma, and ITI Apprentices. The training follows the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) and National Apprentice Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
- Graduate Apprentices: 42 positions in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, B.Sc, B.Com, and BA disciplines
- Diploma Apprentices: 30 positions in Electronics and Mechanical Engineering

Age and Education Qualification
Candidates must have completed their qualifications on or after July 1, 2021:
- Graduate Apprentices (Engineering): 4-year B.E./B.Tech degree in relevant branches
- Graduate Apprentices (Arts/Science/Commerce): 3-year B.Sc/B.Com/BA degree
- Diploma Apprentices: Diploma in relevant engineering fields
- ITI Apprentices: Certificate from NCVT/SCVT in specified trades
- Graduate & Diploma Apprentices: Maximum 25 years as of February 1, 2026
- ITI Apprentices: Maximum 21 years as of February 1, 2026
- Age relaxation applies for reserved categories as per government regulations
Salary Details
Monthly stipend varies by apprentice category:
- Graduate Apprentices (Engineering): ₹17,500 per month
- Graduate Apprentices (B.Sc/B.Com/BA): ₹12,500 per month
- Diploma Apprentices: ₹12,500 per month
- ITI Apprentices (Fitter): ₹11,040 per month
- ITI Apprentices (Other Trades): ₹10,560 per month
The stipend includes contributions from both BEL and government sources. No additional travel or accommodation allowances are provided.
