NCERT has announced 117 vacancies for various academic positions including Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Deputy Librarian, and Assistant Librarian. The recruitment is for positions in New Delhi and its regional institutes.
Age and Education Qualification
Age Limit & Educational Qualification
Age Limit: As per UGC/NCERT/Government of India norms. Age relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PWD categories as per rules.
Educational Qualification:
- Professor: Ph.D. with high-quality published work and 10+ years of teaching/research experience.
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. with Master’s degree (55%+) and 8+ years of experience.
- Assistant Professor: Master’s degree (55%+) with NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC norms.
- Deputy Librarian: Master’s in Library Science (55%+) with 8 years experience and Ph.D.
- Assistant Librarian: Master’s in Library Science (55%+) with NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D.
Salary Details
- Professor: Academic Level 14, Entry Pay ₹1,44,200/- per month
- Associate Professor/Deputy Librarian: Academic Level 13A, Entry Pay ₹1,31,400/- per month
- Assistant Professor/Assistant Librarian: Academic Level 10, Entry Pay ₹57,700/- per month
All pay scales are as per UGC/NCERT/Government of India norms with additional allowances.

- Women, SC, ST, PWD Candidates: Exempted from fee payment
- Fee once paid is non-refundable.
