Age and Education Qualification
A candidate must have a consistently good academic record with a minimum of 55% marks at the Master’s degree or equivalent grade (5% relaxation for SC/ST/BC(NCL)/EBC(NCL) candidates of the state, and 5% relaxation for Persons with Disabilities of Bihar — both relaxations are not admissible together). In addition, the candidate must have either: Qualified NET (UGC/CSIR or any other UGC-accredited test) for Assistant Professor; or A Ph.D. degree as per UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, which exempts the candidate from NET as per applicable UGC provisions.
The minimum age for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor is 21 years, and the maximum age is 43 years. Age relaxation is applicable to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Bihar Government guidelines.
Salary Details
