Age and Education Qualification
- Post Codes 60 to 68 & 70: 18 to 35 years
- Post Code 71 (Fireman ‘A’): 18 to 25 years
Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates (where the post is reserved for that category). Additional relaxation applies to serving government employees, Ex-servicemen, PwBD, widows, divorced women, judicially separated women, and meritorious sportspersons as per Government of India orders.
- Technical Assistant – Automobile: First Class Diploma in Automobile Engineering.
- Technical Assistant – Mechanical: First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR Production Engineering.
- Technical Assistant – Electronics & Communication: First Class Diploma in Electronics Engineering, OR Electronics & Communication Engineering, OR Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, OR Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
- Technician ‘B’ (Turner/Fitter/Welder/Machinist/Refrigeration & AC/Electrician): Pass in SSLC/SSC/Matric (10th Std.) AND ITI in relevant trade with NTC from NCVT OR NAC from NCVT.
- Cook ‘A’: Pass in SSLC/SSC/Matric (10th Std.) AND 5 years’ experience as a Cook in a well-established Hotel/Canteen; experience/skill certificate issued by a well-established Hotel/Canteen must be produced during the Skill Test. Experience certificates from individuals will not be accepted.
- Fireman ‘A’: Pass in SSLC/SSC/Matric (10th Std.) AND must satisfy the prescribed Physical Fitness Standards AND upload a Preliminary Medical Examination Certificate along with the online application.
Salary Details
- Technical Assistant: Pay Matrix Level 7 — Rs.44,900/- to Rs.1,42,400/-
- Technician ‘B’: Pay Matrix Level 3 — Rs.21,700/- to Rs.69,100/-
- Cook ‘A’: Pay Matrix Level 2 — Rs.19,900/- to Rs.63,200/-
- Fireman ‘A’: Pay Matrix Level 2 — Rs.19,900/- to Rs.63,200/-
Application Fees
- Post Codes 60 to 62 (Technical Assistant): Rs. 750
- Post Codes 63 to 71 (Technician, Cook, Fireman): Rs. 500
Fees are payable online only via the SBI e-Payment gateway using Internet Banking, Domestic Debit/Credit Cards, or UPI. Fee once paid is refunded (fully for Female/SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/PwBD candidates, and partially – Rs. 500 or Rs. 400 depending on post – for other candidates) but only to those who appear in the Written Test.
How to Apply
- Visit the official IPRC website: Go to www.iprc.gov.in and navigate to the Careers page between 15 September 2026 (10:00 Hrs) and 5 October 2026 (16:00 Hrs).
- Register/Login: If you are a new user, register with your basic details to create an account. If already registered on the National Career Services (NCS) portal, you may apply through the same process. Log in with your credentials.
- Fill the online application form: Enter your personal details, educational qualifications, and other required information accurately. Select the post code you wish to apply for.
- Upload documents: Upload a recent photograph (JPEG, formal dress, max 1 MB) and signature (JPEG, aspect ratio 7:2, max 1 MB). Also upload scanned copies of required certificates/testimonials as applicable to your post (see Documents Required section).
- Select exam city: Choose your preferred city (Tirunelveli or Chennai) for the Written Test. This choice is final and cannot be changed later.
- Pay the application fee: Pay online via the SBI e-Payment gateway using Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI. Fee is Rs. 750 for Technical Assistant posts (Codes 60-62) and Rs. 500 for Technician, Cook, and Fireman posts (Codes 63-71).
- Preview and verify: Carefully check all entered details in the preview before final submission. The online application cannot be edited after final submission.
- Submit and download: Submit the application and download the generated Application Form for your records. There is no need to send a printout to IPRC.
Required: Before applying, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria (age, qualification) and keep all necessary documents ready. The application window is open only from 15.09.2026 to 05.10.2026.
